More Ways to Naturally Unclog your Ears

4.Garlic Oil Can Unlplug your Ears

Garlic is a natural antibiotic and can help get rid of infection.


IN order to make this medicinal oil, you need 3 cloves of garlic and oilive oil.

Crush the garlic and heat the oil (1 tbsp.) in it, then let cool.

When it is luckewarm, lie on your side and pour the oil into the infected ear and follow the same procedures as using the Apple Cider Vinegar.

5. More Garlic and Some Salt for your Ear Fix

Garlic and salt are a powerful combination to unblock your plugged ears.  This is an old Ayurvedic remedy for ear infections and makes use of a compress that uses garlic and salt which are both unfriendly to yeasts and bacteria.


Get a pinch of salt and 4 to 5 peeled cloves.  Take a glass of water and a thin cloth.

Allow the cloves to seep in the water for about 10 minutes in the hot water.  

Crush the cloves and make a paste.

Add salt  and place on the cloth.

Press the cloth compress against your infected ear 1 to 2 times a day.


The next way to unblock your plugged ears is to address the pressure difference between the middle and outer ear.


How Does pressure cause Plugged Ears?

Obstructions in the ear can cause the pressure in the ear to vary which gives you the felling of plugged ears.   Fluid build up can also clog the ears.


6. Use the Valsalva Maneuver

This is what most people do when they have plugged ears naturally and is used in SCUBA diving.   You simply try to exhale with your nostrils and mouth closed and this creates a pressure inside of your heads.  It is a way to equalize pressure differences.

First you close your mouth and then you pinch your nose.

• Then you bloe your nose until you hear the "POP" in your ear.

This is the sign that you just unplugged your ears.

Don't be too crazy with this maneuver as you can cause damage if you create too much pressure in your head.

7. The Tonybee Maneuver?


This maneuver utilizeds water.  With water in your mouth, pinch your nose and swallow the water.  This should help clear up your pressure issues.

8. Yawning and Jaw Movement

Sometimes all you need to do is move your jaw  and it may immediately unclog your ears.


When all else fails, try bouncing up and down to release any fluids in your ears.  Remember as a kid after getting out of the pool?  Or trying to unplug your ears while in a pool?

HOpping up and down uses the force of gravity to help unplug your ear.
